Air de Paris is a creative project of Belgian writer Thomas Geoffroy. On this website you will find his automatic writing (automatisms), various ‘ideas’ and rare photographs.

He is influenced by French conceptual artist Marcel Duchamp, by surrealist writer André Breton, by jazz music as well as by everyday life.

In his Manifesto of Surrealism, Breton defined surrealism as:

‘Pure psychic automatism ... the dictation of thought in the absence of all control exercised by reason and outside all moral or aesthetic concerns’.
